Sorry for missing week 18 but I'll update you now on what we've been up to since!At 18 weeks we were in Memphis meeting our niece! We had such a great time in the pool at the house we rented and at the zoo and seeing the ducks at the Peabody hotel and eating and eating and eating!!!! We were traveling over Charlotte's birthday but celebrated with a cake while in Memphis and had a big party when we got back! Charlotte had her 2 year check-up and weighed in at 29 lbs. it was the first time she was big enough to step on the big scale and have her height measured on the wall rather than laying down. Pregnancy wise, I forgot to pack my anti-nausea medicine for Memphis so I took the opportunity to try to come off it anyway. It turned out ok and the nausea has stayed away for the most part.
Over the July 4th weekend (20 weeks now) gramma becky and grandpa Alan and grandma Karla came up and helped put together the swing set we al got for Charlotte for her birthday. We also took the opportunity to let them know we found out we will be welcoming another girl this November! We were so excited to know and couldn't wait to share the news! Sadly this was also our last time seeing Sophie while she is on exchange here. It was a tearful goodbye for all but it won't be forever as I know we'll be seeing her again sometime! Baby girl started kicking a bit more the night before our appointment and was pretty active during the sonogram. She was apparently hungry during it too and was face first into the placenta. This meant we couldn't check for cleft pallet so we'll have another sonogram in August!
