Guest A - Take Two

Jordan's second trip to San Diego called for a road trip to LA for a long-overdue visit to some old friends and an afternoon at Dodger Stadium.

My friends from grade school, sisters Katie and Cassie Dean, live in LA now and offered to show us the sights.  It was a fairly gloomy weekend but we had lots of fun and laughs with our beer and peanuts as the Dodgers took on the Giants.  We made it in time for "tee-off" (As Katie said) but left before the crowds as the Giants had a huge lead.

Katie drove us all over the city to see the historic and not-so historic sights of Hollywood.  When we decided it was time for a snack, we couldn't decide between yogurt and the famous cupcake place next door.  We decided we would eat our yogurt while we waited in line for cupcakes!

Back in San Diego on Monday, my best-ie Emily joined Jordan and I for a hike to the three sisters waterfalls.  It turned out to be a little more strenuous than we thought. If you look closely at the below picture on the left, you can see the trail in the side of the mountain.  It's easiest to see the circle of dirt that was a crazy steep, very long, vertical drop that was mostly loose dirt.  Let's just say I required MANY breaks to make it back to the car (which you can also see at the top if you squint real hard).

We made it to the falls and it was totally gratifying to make it back to the top and into the car.  Jordan said it was his favorite part of the whole trip.  We had a great time while we were there and spent the next two days complaining about our aching _______ (insert appropriate body part here) and our sunburned necks.

  1. Those smiles brighten my morning here, where the view out the front door is rainy and dark today. I love you!
