10 Months Old! (April 23, 2013)

My oh my how time flies! My baby is becoming a toddler. She isn't walking yet but it won't be too long I'm sure and she is certainly the size of a toddler.

She has 6 teeth now! Four on top and two still on the bottom. This means she is basically eating anything as long as its not a choking hazard. She still loves fruits but this month we learned she likes baked beans. Or maybe loves them. We have to strip her down to her diaper to eat them because she generally gets them all over her arms and tummy. It's adorable. And always requires a bath after. (Maybe that's why she likes them?)

We are officially out of the nap nanny! (Applause!) it is now just another toy in the living room because she loves to climb now. This includes the stairway which she will go up. But will not come down. Also adorable. She goes so fast and sometimes too fast but I can tell she has her daddy's competitive nature and just can't wait till she can beat Sherman to the top. Every time he looks down on her from the top stair, she gives a look like "Cheater!" Someday she'll beat him. Sigh.

She and Sherman are still best buds. She is her happiest when he is the first one to enter her room in the morning. I learned this when one day I heard her door open. You can imagine my surprise.  I found he had pushed it open and was by her crib begging to join her. She was all smiles and its now her favorite way to wake up.

She is learning so much these days too.  She now does high fives and we are working on bumping fists too.  She also gives really great kisses.  (see photo)  A bit slobbery at times and there may be tongue involved but they are the sweetest wet french kisses you'll ever receive!

Now that the weather is finally starting to warm up (a bit anyway), we are getting outside more and Charlotte loves it.  She likes to have Sherman's leash attached to her stroller harness so that she feels like she is taking him for a walk.  Although if we are headed back toward our house, it's more like Sherman is taking her for a ride!

She is such a good baby.  She is so content and just goes along with anything.  When we go on walks and end up talking to a neighbor for 30 minutes, she just sits and takes it all in.  In the evenings, she sits on the floor and entertains herself while we fix dinner.  She is happy to sit in her highchair and watch us play a round of euchre when we have friends over.  She's happy and we are so blessed to have her in our lives.
