Christmas Time!

Twas the first night of December,
and all through the apartment,
Christmas music was playing,
sing along though she didn't.
Waiting patiently Kristin sat,
at the top of the stair,
In hopes that husband Nicholas,
soon would be there.

He arrived just in time, for a delicious taco dinner,
He knew at that moment, He'd found him a winner.
And when the dishes were done, and the lunches put together,
Nick got the decoration boxes down, like they were full of feathers.

The tree went up quickly,
lights already in place,
Kristin fluffed the branches,
with the ease of an ace.
And as they unwrapped the ornaments,
one by one,
Stories for each were told,
until they were done.

Once the stockings were hung, on the wall by the tree,
Time for a traditional Christmas movie, they both did agree.
The best movie to mark, this holiday celebration,
was National Lampoon's, Christmas Vacation.

The Christmas fun wasn't over,
when the night ended,
December 2nd would bring,
more traditions splendid.
Kristin baked all day,
her mother's Christmas cookies,
Then together they decorated them,
like a couple of rookies.

Fun was had by all, holiday traditions are great,
December's just started, so it's not too late.
Many holiday celebrations, are still yet to come,
